To thrive in this field, it's important to prioritize self-care and seek out support from your colleagues and community. Birth work can be emotionally and physically demanding, so taking care of yourself is crucial in order to be able to show up fully for your clients.
You didn't begin your doula business to work 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. You envisioned more time with fanily and friends, the vacations you'd take, and the freedom you'd have doing something you love. It's time to make your business work for you so it doesn't work you into exhaustion and burnout.
